What is a Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is a controlled exfoliation process using specially formulated acids to remove dead skin cells and stimulate cell regeneration. Based on your skin type and concerns, we offer three main peel depths: Superficial Peels: For dull skin, minor pigmentation, and acne, Medium Peels: For fine lines, age spots, and uneven tone, Deep Peels: For deeper wrinkles, scars, and severe sun damage. Active ingredients include: Glycolic Acid (brightening), Salicylic Acid (anti-acne), TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid) (anti-aging & resurfacing), Lactic Acid, Mandelic Acid, and Phenol (custom options).

Who is a Good Candidate for
Chemical Peels?

You may be a good candidate for Chemical Peels if you:

  • are 25+ and looking for preventive anti-aging care
  • have dull, tired, or uneven skin tone
  • suffer from acne, blackheads, or post-acne pigmentation
  • notice early signs of aging, fine lines or rough skin
  • have sun spots, melasma, or hormonal pigmentation
  • are looking for a non-invasive solution with visible results

How the Procedure Works?

A skincare specialist assesses your skin type and concerns to determine the ideal peel and strength.

Your skin is deeply cleansed and pre-treated to ensure even penetration of the solution.

The peel is gently applied in layers. You may feel mild tingling or warmth. The solution is left for a few minutes, depending on depth.

The peel is neutralized and soothing serums are applied. You will receive post-peel care instructions and skincare products if needed.

  • Superficial Peels: Redness for 1–2 days, light flaking (no downtime)
  • Medium Peels: 3–5 days of moderate peeling and dryness
  • Deep Peels: 7–10 days of downtime, noticeable peeling, redness
  • Results: Brighter, clearer skin in 5–7 days. For optimal results, 3–6 sessions may be recommended at 3-week intervals.
  •

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Mild tingling or warmth is common. Medium and deep peels may feel more intense, but are well tolerated.

Yes, depending on the depth of the peel. Superficial peels cause minimal flaking, while deeper peels result in noticeable shedding of damaged skin.

For superficial peels, light makeup is usually okay after 24 hours. For deeper peels, wait until the peeling phase is over.

When performed by professionals, chemical peels are very safe. At DrBeauty, peels are personalized for your skin tone and type to prevent complications.

For glowing skin before an event, we recommend a light peel 7–10 days in advance.
